Why I am a DotNetNuke SuperFan

Showing off my super sexy DotNetNuke logo tattoo. You'll also notice that I am not without collars.

Only a superFan would be willing to follow Will Strohl and listen to the jibberish.

I've submitted several Gemini support tickets including code fixes.

I've assisted the community by supplying quick patches to common DotNetNuke issues.

I've attended 3 Day of DotNetNuke Events.

I have a DotNetNuke blog that actually uses the core DotNetNuke blog module (I'm looking at you @jbrinkman!)

Containing artitles like:

I've created several How-To videos related to programming and building modules in DotNetNuke

I am always thinking of new ways to improve the DotNetNuke core. And working to turn those ideas into reality

  • DotNetNuke OneClick Installer (Backup / Download / Install)
  • Recycle Bin Replacement
    • A lack of details has made this module hard to use.
    • Displaying details such as: date deleted, type of module, page module belonged too, redirecting to where it restored to, and more
  • File Manager Instant Sync
    • When users upload files through FTP or directly to server folder. DotNetNuke sync will take time to recogize the file and include it in the database.
  • AspNetSQLMemberShipProvder Edit Control
    • There are several settings for user authentication such as: Minimum password length, Require unique email address, require password question & answer, and more. These settings are displayed in user settings and can be modified from the web.config but not user settings as they should be.
  • Universal Public API
    • A webservice to access core functionality for creating or listing: users, files, and content.
  • Better syntax highlighting in view source of user controls and text/html

I attended and presented at the Capital DotNetNuke User Group. Where I was also the Secretary in charge of the website.

I've created several Codeplex projects and have many more coming!

I convinced my fiance to get married at #DNNWorld in November!

Believe it or not it was HER IDEA!
